The Yale World Culture and Language After School Studies Program provides high school students from New Haven and surrounding towns instruction in languages and cultures not commonly taught in local schools.

The courses are structured under the guidelines of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. The Yale Center for Language Studies organizes at least two methodological and pedagogical workshops a year for the program’s instructors.

New Haven public school students, and students from about half of the suburban districts, receive high school credit when they complete a course.
