Classes meet once weekly for a total of 24 sessions (roughly 12 sessions before and 12 sessions after the usual two-week winter holiday break). Some courses may meet later into the spring in order to make up for sessions not scheduled when New Haven Haven Public School students have a day off or a vacation break.

Fees & Scholarships

As part of our partnership with New Haven Public Schools (NHPS), the Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies at Yale is able to provide full scholarships to NHPS students. For all others, the fee for each Yale World CLASS course is $525.00.

Student Eligibility

World CLASS  aims to engage with students passionate about language and culture. While there are no GPA requirements for admission to the program, we look for students who are motivated, self starters, and ready to learn. The program is available to all high school students in Connecticut.

Attendance Policy

In order to stay in the program, students are expected to participate and are required to attend all weekly classes. Failure to do so will result in explusion from the program.
